The Low Down
The Ceremony
The Ceremony will begin at 5:00 pm sharp. Please arrive at 4:30 pm. There is plenty of parking, and it is just a few steps away from the ceremony & reception areas. If you are camping/glamping it is a good idea to arrive at 4:00 pm to get your area set up.
The Reception
The reception will be held in the same general area as the ceremony. Food and drinks will be served!
The Afterparty
The beauty of our venue is that the party doesn't have to end! We encourage everyone to stay overnight and camp/glamp with us (info below). The DJ and open bar will end at 11:00 pm, at which point we will transition the party to the other side of the lake (5-10min walk) where the camping/glamping area is located.
The Day After
For everyone who stayed overnight, we have to clear out of the Woodlands by noon. Later, on Sunday afternoon, we encourage everyone to join us for a beach day on Folly Beach.
One More Thing
This is a No Kids event.
Accomodations
Glamping
Glamping tents are semi-permanent structures with king-size mattresses in them (see photos below). We wish there were enough for everybody, but since there are only 20 total we are reserving these mainly for family and the bridal party.
Camping
For everyone else, we encourage you to stay overnight with us and camp! You can set up your tent in a secluded area away from the festivities or right in the heart of it. We encourage the folks that are camping to arrive a bit early to set up their tents before the ceremony. Additionally, there are RV hookups on the property, and the ceremony/reception parking area is also nearby if you prefer to sleep in your vehicle.
If you don't own a tent/sleeping bag or are traveling for this wedding, send us a message and we may be able to get you everything needed.
Other Accommodations for The Wedding Night
There are two options if you want to be very close to the wedding, but don't want to camp or glamp.
1) The Woodlands has two tiny homes on the property, just a short drive away from the ceremony/reception. Casita Annie & Casita Betty.
2) The Inn at Middleton Place is a boutique hotel located about 5 minutes away via car.
Where to stay in Charleston
For everyone coming into town for more than one night OR not staying at any of the options above, we recommend staying on Folly Beach or in Downtown Charleston. If you have a group, getting a big beach house on Airbnb is the way to go, in our opinion!
Kayleigh and I met on Folly Beach, and now live 5-minutes inland on James Island. We cannot wait to share our city with you!
